Work History

1969-1972: Field Representative, U.S. Department of H.U.D: Program and funds management for the Model Cities & Urban Renewal Programs.
1972-1973: Traveled and lived in Europe.
1973-1974: Program Manager in the Mayor's Office of Manpower; City of Baltimore.
1974-1979: Field Representative for Housing & Urban Development, then in 1977, promoted to Program Manager of Community Development and Urban Development Action Grant Programs, with a staff of 7.
1979-1982: Developer with David Clark & Associates. Area Manager for Baltimore office; developed residential and commercial projects in Baltimore City and County including the Admiral Fell Inn, and various multi-family residential projects.
1982-1991: Founded K/B Construction Company, Inc; President and 51% stockholder. Initially specialized in Rehab and Restoration, by 1986 the emphasis became Custom Home Building. In November 1991, I bought out the 49% stockholder and deactivated the Company in order to start Bement & Sons.
1991-Present: Founded Bement & Sons Construction, Inc., specializing in high-end market traditional houses with abundant detail and solid craftsmanship. We are also very experienced in residential renovations, additions, historic restorations, and light commercial construction and renovations.
